I have excellent communication skills, written and oral and good leadership skills. What I am learning from MBET is how to horn those skills I already have, especially within teams. My training as an engineer leads me to analyse the technical side of things, solve problems and come up with solutions.

Leadership

The most important areas I think I need growth and development in the area of leadership skills, specifically how to change leadership styles to meet the situation requirements. We learn a lot of stuff which points to the fact the coaching may be one of the best leadership styles, but experience has shown that this may not be appropriate in all circumstances. The ability of leader to change his style especially in times of negotiation or crises I believe is the key to success. Of course this ability to change may only come with experience; the MBET program provides a safe environment in which to experiment with little or no negative consequences. Emotional intelligence, social and individual empathy is an area I think I also need to improve: be a better listener, be better at putting myself in the other person's position and learn continuously from other people.
